So, on Thursday I have to get my tonsils out!!! I'm so scared not really the surgery but the recovery. I hate missing school and I run cross country. What will it feel like? When can I run and go back to school??? I'm in high school.

first things first! RELAX!!! having your tonsils out these days is a simple surgery. now, when you get out of surgery you are going to be asked to drink something. they should require that you drink and hold down at least 6-12 oz. do not guzzle it to get thru with it. sips at first and then on to whole swallows.

when you get up and around, they'll let you go home. please follow your doc's instructions. they may seem too cautious, but these guys know what they are talking about. with in a few days you should back to your old self. but don't over-do. take it easy.

It will hurt for a bit but they will give you ice cream.
You can go back to school when your doctor says you can.
