if u fall in love with a boy/girl .. why is it that some important person in the family does not agree and goes againt you ?

unfortunately others don't feel the 'love' we do when we meet someone special,,they can step back and really look at what they perceive the relationship to be,,right or wrong it happens,,mostly though it is just others close to us that want the best for us and cannot except that this person can make us feel the way they do,,sometimes only time tells whether or not someone is special enough to be accepted into a family but without being firm in your decisions you may not get the chance for the family to give your partner a break

Because maybe there is something about that person that your family member doesnt like. Family, a good family, is always gonna look out for your best interests. But there comes a point when they need to just step back and let you do your thing, if it makes you happy.

depends on their attitude and personality. Perhaps family needs the chance to get to know that person better in a casual setting such as coming over for dinner and games or a movie at home. A cookout is always nice as well

Usually our families are opposed to our relationships because they want to be a little more in control and help protect us from making the same mistakes they did- -Because there is going to always be someone in your life that thinks they know what is best for you. If the love you and this person have for one another is real, it will prevail against all odds.

not just an important person in the family it can also be ur best friend or another close friend like that. i say that if u love the person enough u will fight for ur love. the person against it will soon realize that they have no choice but to accept it.

Yeahhh..I agree with you!But Love is more important here.It takes 2 hands to clap.When you both are madly in love,who cares anyway.That important person is just over protected 2wards their son/daughter.They want the best for their children.Just to have a lil` bit patience here...try to make that importat person like you first.If your are so sincere in de relationship,sooner or later that important person will accept you.:)

Love makes u act and do crazy things. Mayber your family has seen changes in you that concern them. You need to sit them down and explain your feelings and let them know that just because your in love doesn't mean ur lost your mind or have you? Don't isolate them, they are just looking out for you.

I think its because the person who is in love is blinded by the love and can not see certain things that people from the outside can.

Because this "new person" might take you away from them so they may feel some sort of fear and/or jealousy. This important person may not want you to feel happy, perhaps because they aren't happy themselves and don't want to see anyone else happy. Or maybe, this important person aren't ready to see you grow up just yet.

I find that in many situations it is because there not happy so they feel that no one else should be happy. They probably just care about you and don't want you to get hurt. Good Luck
