If a man loves you..why cant they handle a long distance relationship? My ex was 7 years older and I moved away to college. We stayed together for 6 months but then he said the long distance relatiionship was too hard..he wanted me to go meet new people and have fun. He couldn't let go of me though and kept on calling right after he broke up with me. to this day he still tells me he loves me. I am so confused on how he feels? why did he break up with me if he loves me so much? can some men really just not handle long distance relationships? do you think he is keeping such close contact with me because he sees hope for the future when i am older and out of college? my age was also always a big issue for him..his bro gave him **** b/c i was so much younger. any ideas on what the love of my life is thinking? i love him so much but scared to show emotions because dont want to act

Long distance relationships can be VERY straining. (Trust me, I know.) Also the issue with your age can be a big one. The good news is that as you get older the age thing means less. As for the distance, maybe he's realized he made a mistake.

Personally I am a beliver in second chances. If you love him, I'm inclined to say give him another shot. But if he bolts on you a second time, close that door for good. Good luck!

Sweetie,I would just go and enjoy college life and drop a line or a call or something every now and then to say in touch but don't hold on to what id and all that Cause he maybe serious or eh maybe holding on to u so he can tell everyone he is dangling u along.Or cause he doesn't really want to be without someone in his life but for now u need to move on and enjoy your life and if something comes of it when u return home or not then fine either way u will be lived and not seat and wait for something that may never happen cause u can't get that time back .Good luck

it is possible that he still loves you. LD relationships are very tough and many people get frustrated (in many ways) by them. it's hard to be faithful, and then of course you always wonder are you wasting your time waiting when someone better is around the corner. but yes he could love you, only he knows how he feels but i think it's very possible. good luck, i hope you can be together one day soon!
