How old are you? Does she have any kids from her previous marriage? How long ago did she get divorced?
If she's recently divorced, then you might end up being the rebound guy. If she has kids, how do you feel about that?
Bottom line, she must be interested in getting to know you better for her to give you her number. If you're equally interested and want to go out with her, call her asap! Even if you're not sure if you're interested, there's no harm just meeting up for coffee - it's less pressure. It took a lot of guts for her to give you her number, just so you know.

don't call the same day you get the number. that really is too soon. otherwise, any time you feel ready. don't wait just to avoid looking eager, those types of games are dumb. if i guy doesn't call me for a few days i assume he is not interested, or when he does call that i was last on the "desperate for a date" list. if you are really interested, show it! especially if she's been through a divorce she might have self esteem issues and waiting to call could ruin everything

I think waiting a day or two..longer implies you were too busy for her and you want to show interest - but not the first night , because it may be show desperation on your part.. plus a little wait may make her more apt to be excited when you do call.
