make it a point to pick her up and gently cuddle her at the same time every day. make this a routine and she will learn and start to like it. if at first she struggles let her go and then start to increase the length of cuddle time until she learns that you love her and that you are not going to hurt her.

this will take a little time as do all routines. dont give up keep trying

she will eventually understand and and will start looking forward to cuddle time

good luck and good cuddlin

Do you know what the cat's background is? A shelter cat, etc. Dr. Jean Hovfe has a spirit essence at her website: www. littlebigcat.com called Scaredy Cat which you might use to treat your cat. You shake the bottle well and put it on the cat's fur between her ears. Of course, you would have to restrain her to do this. Sometimes if cats are picked up in a towel or soft blanket it lessens their fears.

The bottle of essences is mailed to you. It costs $16.95. You need to start treating her say about twice a day. Just continue with it and treat her whenever you can. I would just keep using it and use up the whole bottle.

The essences really can be miraculous in their benefits for your cat. That's very inexpensive and not a lot of trouble. Instructions for use will come with the bottle.

Blossom was really bad at this. We had to catch her daily to give her medicine. The meds had nothing to do with it; she was that way since she came home with us. I bought a multi-level cat cage from a pet store to use during the med period. Once that was over she roamed the house at leisure and always enjoys a good massage. She still acts a little skittish, but seems to really enjoy the attention. When she doesn't want to be bothered she jumps in the cage(we leave open all the time) and hangs out in her hammock.

Get a dog, usually they are not wussies like *******. Sorry, that was stupid and I would take it back but I won't. I'm not a cat person and have only had two cats that rocked, all others sucked and one was completely evil although the child of one of the good ones. And before you ask, "If you don't like cats why did you have them?" It's because I lived with my parents at the time.

My cat is the same way, scared of everything! She is so scared to walk through a door way...she hopes over it. Don't worry about her, just keep telling her you love her thats what I've been doing for 13 yrs and shes fine!

My boyfriend's cat is like that. It is just her personality. Ex: Some people are shy and others are outgoing. I think the best thing you can do is be very gentle with her and try having people over your house and get her used to company and other people petting her. If she starts to get so nervous where she becomes angry, stop. You can't force her to like attention. Also... Good luck if you try adding another cat to the fam. She probably won't like it.

That's just her personality, I think. I once had a cat that was very timid and although he mellowed out a bit after he grew up, he was basically still really scared

Yeah get used to it, NOT all cats are LOVEY DOVEY...Ours has been THAT way for 3 years now! HATES us when we try to pick her up, but LOVES us when she wants to.
CATS are that way.
If you wanted a faithful, true, lovable pet DOG is the answer!
