The bird found in the center of Mexico's flag is an eagle. It and the snake in its mouth are both taken from the official emblem of Mexico. i know this for sure buddy, had to do a project on Mexico's flag. If you have any other questions,, just ask.

The emblem-shield symbolizes the Aztec heritage. According to a beautiful legend, the gods had advised the Aztecs that the place where they should establish their city was to be identified when they saw an eagle, perched on a prickly pear tree, devouring a serpent. They saw this mythical eagle on a marshy lake that is now the zócalo or main plaza in Mexico City.

I think it's "suppossed" to be a Phoenix. But it's probably a vulture, waiting to swoop down on the American people.

it's the EAGLE...

our fellow creatures exhibit habit patterns that will relay the messages of healing to anyone astute enough to observe their lessons on how to live...when you call upon the power of an animal, you are asking to be drawn into complete harmony with the strength of that creature's essence...

for the Mexicans, like the Native Americans...EAGLE represents spirit...the connection to the Divine...EAGLE represents a state of grace achieved through hard work and understanding...EAGLE is reminding to take heart and gather courage...for the universe is always presenting an opportunity to SOAR, like the Eagle, feed your body, feed your soul...good medicine on the Mexican Flag, hehehehehe

yes, yes, good medicine on the Mexican flag no matter who wants to attack, the feathers of the EAGLE are considered to be the most sacred of healing tools...hehehehehe
