Is this illegal anyway?

Well this is a refreshing change from people asking how they can steal Microsoft Office. Asking about stealing a product that is given away with practically every PC sold.

Yes, it's illegal, and immoral as well. If you can't come by a copy legally, it is STILL theft.

Yep, it's illegal! Even if you find it, it's a HUGE download, over 3 gigs.

Better option: Get a copy of Open Office here:

http://download.openoffice.org/2.0.3/index.html

It's Microsoft Office compatible (Works isn't!) and is completely FREE.

Not Works but Word, if you have a broadband connection you can download Microsoft office 2007 beta from Microsoft.
They require a valid email and will send you the CD code needed to install.

Yes, it's illegal to download software without paying for it. Especially anything from Microsoft (they are very protective of their software).
I seriously doubt that there is any free and legal way to get the software.

I know that Microsoft has a Works viewer for free. You can view and print out Works documents but not do anything to them.
