Lots of reasons cause birds to do this. Attention, anger, frustration, hunger, even noise from the family! As you are hand feeding your bird, its looking to you as its mother. Its possibly hungry.A bird in a noisy environment will compete with other noise. My guess,as, an owner of many birds, its either hungry or attention seeking. You do not say how old your bird is. Are you giving it enough to eat? Has it got plenty of fresh water? You may like to try a calming technique. Gently remove your bird from its cage, hold you bird in cupped hands, and speak quietly to him/her whilst VERY gently stroking its head.If after doing all the checks to be sure all is ok,you could maybe try covering your bird,to allow him/her some rest time. They usually quieten down once covered. If all else fails,I suggest you see your vet for some help and guidance.

She'll shiver if she's still hungry, too. Her droppings would be very dark green by now because of liver damage from malnourishment. As long as that's fine, her head is proportioned to her body evenly, her crop empties fully and she's not spitting up, she's probably just fine.

Birds naturally make some owl-like and clicking sounds (especially Greys). You can encourage her to eat a more adult diet by offering a dish of weaning conversion food and a cooking mix. Then you're at least out of the woods with crop problems. You can order some here:

It's a bird, they're reknowned for making noises. I doubt it's because it's hungry. Perhaps it's lonely--if you don't have other birds with it, I suggest getting a "cuddle buddy" toy for it. There are a variety of such things for many kinds of birds. They're essentially a flap or pouch-like fold of furry fabric in a bright color, usually green or blue, that you can tie to the side of the cage so it can snuggle with it.

Another thing to do would be to get a few plastic birds. They usually clip onto the perches and are supported by springs, for movement. My bird loved his, used to try and feed it.

If nothing else, try getting a small mirror and hanging it in the cage so it has something to "talk" to.

Once I took my kids to a park that had a pond and some ducks. We took some loaves of bread to feed the ducks. We got out of the car and were only a few feet from it when all these ducks started coming towards us. If it was like 2 ducks that would have been cute but as we walked about 20 ducks started approaching fast. I dropped the bread and we ran for our lives. My kids watched the ducks from the windows of our car. It was a very scary experience.

Hi, Thats a normal baby sound , and some do it for a few months, I hope you know how to hand feed becuse they can die if you don't do it the right way.
don't give it to much formular becuse it makes that noise, they keep on doing it when you feed even after you give them the amount they need. you need to feed right after that sound comes out, they can asperate if it done while they make the noise.

Good luck enjoy,

Birds like attention, and they do what gets them attention.
Hand feed her if that's what she likes.
My bird has never eaten bird food, and he's really old.

I always thought a clicking bird meant it was scared or angry.

Squak is what they do and the click is probably from listening to you on the computer all the time.
