i know little old ladies who wore them. i would wear mine as a child when the nightmares were taking over my sleep. they, as i, used it to pray and kept it close.
it seems blasphemous to wear them as madonna did - in vulgar fashion and as some type of accessory. the only accessory it is is a tool to pray to our Lord.
it just depends on how it's used.

A rosary is not a fashion accessory. It is a sacramental used to pray. It is taking something made to aid in prayer and trivializing it.

I had not heard that this was so. A rosary is meant as a tool of prayer and what as such should not be worn. This sounds a little overboard to me and you should wear it if you wish.

If that's blasphemous, then Madonna is really going to roast. She made it a fashion accessory in the '80's.

i'm not entirley sure, but i'd have to say that if it is blasphemous, it's because it's a tool for prayer, not jewlery.
