I'm not the multimillionaire hypocrite. Granted she's done some good things. But face it, there are hundreds of internet links about her and the other multimillionaire televangelist personal lives. Though they woon't be broadcasting it on their next show!

What am I making up? IT'S ALL OVER THE INTERNET. I'm certainly not jealous about a multimillionaire preacher, that ignores the bibles' warnings about materialism!

the 1st link is very unflattering about her. BUT it is based on the 2nd link from the St.Louis Post Dispatch. The articles are very interesting, and her ministry answered several questions. I don't hate her, but it is sad the lives some of these people live.

I don't know if either of the links are true but if they are it is so sad.
Many, not necessarily all televangelists, because I don't know all of them are into the money. It really sickens me when televangelists try and justify their beyond blessed lifestyles by calling it God's blessing upon them for doing His work. It deludes others into believing that this lifestyle is acceptable living, and it does cause people to see the blessings on this earth. The true blessing of sharing the Gospel is seeing others come to Christ and their lives being changed for the better.

It is hearing the words, "Well done my good and faithful servant." My husband and I are church planters. We are actually in the process of planting a church. As believers, we have shared His word, but have not had the "blessings" like others have. In all honesty I wouldn't want it. There have even been times, where financially we struggled, but God always brought us through.

We have both learned through taking the Crown Financial Study by Larry Burkett that whatever God blesses us with, it is still His. We need to be willing to let it go, if He were to ask us. We are working to get our way out of debt, which isn't a whole lot thank goodness, but when we do, we want to build up some savings, and then use what we were paying for debt, for ministry. I have a heart to start a food and clothes pantry when our church launches, among other things.

I think there are so many more things Christians need to be doing. It's not enough that we tell people about Jesus. They want to see the evidence in our lives. We can do that by meeting people's needs. I will probably not have a tenth the wealth of any of these televangelists, but if I see someone come to Jesus because they saw me live the way Christ would have me live, then I am happy to stay right where I am.

Thank you for the information. If nothing more, you have prompted me to do some research on her. I know many that like her. I don't want any to be decieved if she is claiming she is something she is not. My dad is decieved by another televangelist that is more popular among a specific group. It is a shame because he is so deluded into believing this guy is for real.

You can look at the Joyce Meyer Ministry budget by going to her website, joycemeyer.org to see exactly how her ministry spends the money sent in. How much are any of her critics are giving to feed, clothe, house, etc those around this country or others? Do any of them give away all but just the bare amount of money needed to survive? There is no sin in being wealthy. None. There are many many people who have all the things she does who do NOTHING for anyone else. She is blessed because she does 2 things - works damn hard (traveling/appearing all over the world, preparing sermons, raised a family, etc) and honors God and spreads his Gospel. The latter is the more important.

we all have our faults as Christians. and i would agree with you if this is fact. i will check out the site.
my husband doesn't like Benny hinn because he also lives his life the same way the lady you mentioned including thousands on hotel rooms and paying his kids to be lazy. it was in TV. i believe dateline aired it. i don't like it when preachers, ministers or pastors care more about selling their books and such and speak less on gods word.
i went to a women's bible conference and a woman turned it into a slam against the possibility that Hillary Clinton trying for the presidency. I'm a woman and i wouldn't vote for her. now if Oprah or Leesa gibbons or Maria Shriver (arnalds wife) ran then i would vote for one of them.but she shouldn't have use a bible event to mostly slam a politician

Isn't that par for the course with any televangelist? They seemed good always to spark the need to buy ones way into heaven.

You have taken several things out of context. Joyce Meyer has a successful ministry because she lives to spread the word of God as Jesus told us to do. The Bible says that God wants us to prosper! There's nothing wrong with being prosperous. And the link you cited is hogwash!

read the articles you posted yourself! One is about how she donated to and helped churches and homeless. I think you need to check your "resources" -you look like the hypocrite- NOT HER! your first link is obviously made up by some FAKE, jealous of the fact that she is rich and famous for just flat out spreading the word. Dont hate on her- go after all the idiots that pay for her book when they can watch her for free on TV.
