Is there anything specific, like a cure?

Vista Views was about to get my vote for best answer with:
"**** off mate pull the other one" - so eloquent.

Then along came Augusta B with: "Thou shalt lay out thy goolies on a gopher wood table and truly whack them with thy family-size bible. Yeah I tell thee verily and proceed to the land of Nod and wander there in the wilderness for 40 days and 40 nights. And thy shalt not beget, nor begat nor bigot."

Now I'm not so sure which is best.

As for anyone that takes a question like this seriously....

Fair comment from Andrew W who obviously gets the point: "that nutty christian pope will not let the africans have condoms to save there lives from aids i hope he can live with there deaths"

I don't think that there is but i heard that somewhere in that book 'God' or 'Jesus' is against homosexuality. So i think that even the 'all mighty' hated even his own creations.
What do you think of that?
That's like being hated by your parents and casted out on your ear/rejected.
My question is, why give us free will, then ignore the prayers of the faith-full?
I haven't seen any proof in my entire life that 'God' even exists.
My conclusion, the 'bible' as it is with the old testament and the new are the churches way of gaining money along with the publishing house that prints them. It's a scam all of it.
You never know maybe in a few years they will add an extra chapter about HIV and that it's the 'Devil's' way of making sure he gets your soul. So beware 'God' has condemned you if your gay, or you've got HIV.

There are many theories about the origin of HIV-1 and HIV-2. The first known case was found in a blood sample collected from man from Kinshasha, Democratic Republic of Congo in 1959. Genetic analysis of this blood suggests that the origin of HIV came from a single strain of HIV-1 in the 1940s or 50s.
In the U.S. the virus is known to have existed since the mid 70s. Symptoms of rare types of what are now known as opportunistic infections began manifesting themselves between 1979-1981.

HIV was first isolated by scientists in 1983. The virus was at first called HTLV-III/LAV (human T-cell lymphotropic virus-type III/lymphadenopathy- associated virus) by an international scientific committee, since it was the 3rd retrovirus found after HTLV-1 and -2. This name was later changed to HIV (human immunodeficiency virus).

Damn! Did mom of 2 really just say that? HIV/AIDS is a very new virus. The earliest known origin was taken from a plasma sample in 1959 from an adult male living in what is now the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The Hiv/AIDS virus has been around since the late 70'searly 80's, in the bible it says cast your cares upon the lord - do it because he loves you, and cares about you and all your situations and sees you when you are in distress. The only future predictions as mentioned in the bible - which was written around 2000 years ago is at the back on the bible, in revelations. It does mention end times, plagues pestillences etc, and heaven and eternal life, and much more. Its not there to scare you but as a warning to all of things to come, no matter who you are, what you are or where you are, its never too soon or too late to turn to jesus and ask him to forgive your sins(the things you have done wrong to yourslef and to others), repenting of them, asking jesus in to lead you in your new life with him, with jesus there is hope. We often have to live with the consequences of our past actions/mistakes, but with jesus he can turn things around.

On a medical note have you heard of the blood strand called DELTA 32? Well the last time I heard anything about this delta 32 in some poeples blood streams, the theory then was that is you had 1 strand of delta 32 in your bloodstream, you could get the HIV virus - but that it wouldnt turn into full blown aids virus, but to those people who have 2 strands of delta 32, they couldnt catch HIV virus and it wouldnt turn into AIDs as they couldnt get that form of the disease either. The theory was that the HIV/AIDS virus is the new form of the plague that london was so full of in the 17 th centuary and the descendants of the plague -also known as the Black Death (survivors -those who had , had the plague - and recovered from it, I believe it was the mites on the rats that carries the plague) their descendants are the ones alive today who carry either 1 or 2 strands of delta 32. I dont know where current research is at, but this was a few years ago.

There are rumors as to how/who why the HIV virus came to be,there was a documentary in the us - which was later made into a feature film (and shown here in the UK) about a group of gay men, and out of those gay men - one of them passed it onto a group of other gay men some of whom were also bi-sexual, so the disease was then spread globally. Whether the findings of this documentary is correct is unclear as no proof of someone being the 'original infector' was provided. There are a lot of theories around. Another one is about a military biological-weapon experiment, and these HIV virus was created for germ warfare, and monkey were tested and injected with the virus, and one escaped and bit a guy, and he was very, very promiscious, and got sex where and how he could with who ever and that included paying for it. So maybe we will never know.

To answer the comment left by spartan 117 who says that they bible telle you to - and I quote "WEAR A CONDOM" luke chapter 11 vs 5 , where as wearing a condom is sound advice int the fight against sexually trasnmitted dieseases (including flavoured condoms for oral use) what luke chapter11 V5 actually says is - Then suppose one of you has a friend, and he goes to him at midnight and says 'friend, lend me threee loaves of bread. that is what this actually quote says! I dont know who spartan 117 may visit at midnight, or what it is hes doing with those 3 loaves - but it does not mention the use of loaves of bread as a condom! The early egyptians experimented with early versions of condoms by sewing a fine animal skin together and using that, im sure it didnt work very well though.

The Bible doesn't list every single thing in the future. And so, a cure for HIV is one of the items left out. However, it does mention that in the end times there will be plagues...HIV fits in there wouldn't you think?

Well, as other answers, it didn't exist in those days, but how great is the compassionate heart of God for those who are suffering. And not just for innocent victims. Jesus compassion was great towards those who were broken because of sin and bad choices, and he did say, "Whoever has seem me has seen the Father."

Seeing as the Bible predates HIV by at least 5 centuries I'd imagine... nothing
