Not to be rude or anything but why should I believe in something just because that is what you were told you should believe or born into. What about free thought and to love this earth, not only man. The ideology of worshiping a man is a little inane to me. I would rather worship nothing and have a respect for everything that exists for it is all in constant balance. Why be subjected to absolutism. Do not do this for you will go to hell... do not do that for you will go to hell... abide by these rules and you will be spared from eternal damnation. It sounds like fear mongering to me.

This may come as some suprise, but there is plenty of archaeological evidence for the events found in the Bible. Kingdoms and kings and cities mentioned all existed, in real time, and left relics behind. The people mentioned all existed, and we actually have archaeological evidence to prove it.
Ancient Egypt actually existed. There are records in Egypt corresponding to the Biblical Exodus of the Hebrews. Quite naturally, these records are from "their" point of view. King David existed. So did the Hittites, and the Sidonians, and the Babylonians, and the Cretans, and the Philistines. Pontius Pilate was a real person. Qunirius was actually Governor of Syria at the turn of the Epochs. The list goes on and on.
I don't know of any other religious folklore or record that has such an "imprint" or "address" in history, as does the Jewish Torah and the Christian New Testament. Names, dates, geography, places, customs, wars, civil records....they all exist. They can be verified.
You may want to check out listings for "Biblical archaeology" for starters. It would at least prove interesting.
Try the links I've supplied below. If nothing else, maybe you can gain some understanding of the work that has gone into verifying the Biblical record.

I absolutely agree with you. I have been arguing with preachers, Johova's witnesses, and anybody else who has tried to seel me their way of believing. I don't see a difference, personally. I think the only thing they have in common is that all are written in a book by an author of long ago and somewhere down the line the story got screwed up. I just want to thank you for making my day. I never thought I would ever find someone who thinks the way I do.

You think? Of course it is, religion is just the remains from the dark ages, like a leech, that will take sometime until we get rid of it.
And dont get me wrong I wouldnt mind if it was just a theory or a fairytale like Santa for example that makes children happy.
But there are wars and killing in its name, and it has to be stopped sooner or later. Even the "peaceful" worshipers, always find something to hate. Its human nature, you get yourself in a social group and you hate another group. Which leads into wars and killing. Lets see when people will open their eyes and stop following this mass controlling and dangerous over-wealthy industry.
