I am a Katrina survivior, and am really depressed today. I've lost two elderly neighbors in the last year, and I can't help feel as though Katrina is still killing us. I've seen people loose hope...young and old. I had a friend attempt suicide by cop. This is just really crazy.
My question is this...Is there any reason to hope?

Yes, there is always hope.
Sometimes, we are tested in life to test our will, as we are humans this is the very basis of our existence: Surivors.
I feel for you, eventhough I've never gone through something as horrible as that. But the souls of the dead would be upset with you, as a survivor, to give up now on them when it's too late for them. Keep them in good memories, and I will keep you in mine.

There is always reason to hope. I am so sorry that you and all the others in your area had to suffer through this, it's just unconscionable that it wasn't prevented. In this day and age, in the most advanced nation on earth, this never should have happened. You must'nt give up hope though, because you have it in your power to make things better for those who are less fortunate than you, you survived and will be stronger for it.

Wow, I think you need to talk to someone about how you're feeling. I'm a Katrina survivor and I'm not that bad off....but my house wasn't destroyed. My relatives lost everything though. It is crazy! But there most definitely is reason to hope! Things will be built back bigger and better! I see it happenin in south Mississippi everyday! Please do think about talking to someone though! Good luck!!

There's reason to hope. A lot of businesses are back up. Schools are back in.

We survivors have to be strong! How else will we be able to tell our kids and grandkids about the big storm?

I BELIEVE THAT PEOPLE SHOULD NOT DWELL ON THE BLUES. IF YOU READ YOUR BIBLE YOU KNOW THAT THIS IS ONLY A TEMPORARY SETBACK. YOU ARE STILL ALIVE THAT RIGHT THERE IS YOUR HOPE YES YOU ARE SADDENED AND UPSET BY YOUR MATERIAL LOSS BUT MOST OF ALL THAT CAN BE REPLACED YES IT IS SAD WHEN PEOPLE WE LOVE DIE BUT IF THEY HAD FAITH IN JESUS AND BELIEVED THEY ARE IN THE PLACE THAT WE ARE STRUGGLING TO GET TO SO BE HAPPY FOR THEM IT IS TIME TO LEAVE THE PITY PARTY AND GET ON WITH THE REST OF YOUR LIFE THINK OF ALL THE PEOPLE THAT YOU CAN GO AROUND AND BE A BLESSING TO DOING SUICIDE IS NOT RIGHT NOT EVEN TO TRY IT IS NOT OUR LIFE IT BELONGS TO GOD AND WHEN HE IS THRU HE WILL BRING US HOME
