from an atheist's perspective....... if there is a one true god, and he happens to be the one you worship, congrats. i wouldn't give you any grief over it. and though this wasn't a part of your question, the crack about the messiah's religion being surpring only serves to display the posters ignorance. religion is a creation of man. if there is a god, and he does send a messiah to bless the people, he (or she) won't be a member of any religion, because that would mean taking sides in a human created power struggle, and, well, that's just not what saviors do. you should think about your words before you spout nonsense.

Jews, Muslims and Christians all worship exactly the same God. This fact is clearly identified in the scriptures of these religions and is not in question. It is just that we all worship Him in different ways. So yes, if you belong to one of those religions, then your God is the real and genuine one.

The tragedy of this question lies in the assumption that there is more than one God. The God concept is universal to all faiths and religions, just from different viewpoints and controlled by various bodies, religions. God by any other name is still God, what man made laws apply, does not alter that fact. Respect the faith of others as you would have them respect yours. Alienation comes from the concept of God ownership, and yet all faiths teach the universality of God.

Jews and Muslims have the same belief in one God. Christianity is a whole other story. But either way when the true Messiah comes many people will be shocked and flabbergasted to see which religion he is from.

We all came from the same place, therefore we all have the same GOD. It doesn't matter what you call HIM.By putting ourselves into a religious box we hinder our understanding of one another, the only thing that matters is GOOD and BAD. All religion is "right" as long as we love and respect each other.

If your God is that mystical mother nature that we know very
little about, then your God is the real one - everything else is
made up stuff. There is nothing wrong with saying that you
dont know, since none of us do, so why make up stuff or believe stuff that others have made up ?

there is only 1 God. The Holy Creator. He is the Alpha and the Omega. Why even bother taking a chance by worshipping any false God.

If "your" God is the "right One" -- then whatever your God says is the consequence for not believing or for ignorance is what will happen to the rest of us.

Then it makes sense doesn't it to pray for Him to lead you into a more accurate understanding and to show you the truth.
