Your ignorance is showing! When did God destroy the world by fire. What are you talking about.
2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up.

#1 I dont remember my bible saying anything about God having already destroyed his people by fire!!
#2 God did destroy all but Noah and his family by water, then said I will never again destroy all living things in this way again!
#3 God is some what like the rest of us, we can all only take so much rebellion, hate, unappreciation, and self righteousness before we just snap have to smack somebody down. God created us for a purpose and most of us (myself included sometimes) are not fulfilling this purpose!!

Where does it say in the Bible that God destroyed the earth with fire and that he will never do it again? He only destroyed the earth by flood and promised to never to that again.

he only destroyed the population of earth once and that was by a global flood. eight humans survived as well as two of every kind of animal, not nessisarily every exact breed, but two of every kind. that is two dogs, two cats, two horses, two camels, and so on. now God destroyed two major cities with fire, wiping out those two from the face of the earth. God will destroy both heaven and earth, but not until after judgement day. He will create a new heaven and a new earth and this time it will be perfect.

You are referring to the God of the Bible. In its text, the next and final judgement is called Armaggeddon, when Saton and his followers "face off" if you will, with God and His, at which point, God speaks 1 word and they all fall dead. He then recreats earth into a perfect heaven. I hope that answers your question

The hurricanes that we have every year are on a cycle so God created the weather but does not control it.

No, read the book. I hate to spoil a good ending, but God tells you how He is going to do it. I would really hate to be here when the sh#t hits the fan.

Step 1: Bend over.
Step 2: (you get the idea)

I'd like to think that God, if He exists, doesn't have a lawyer hunting for loopholes in his "I'm sorry, baby, I'll never beat on you again" promises.
