I have listened to them once, had a nice long chat about their beliefs and they are not from the Bible. I won't believe something that is made up. Sorry. I value my eternal life too much. I asked them several questions, by the way, from the Bible and they could not answer one.

These Scriptures help explain why the world behaves the way it does, and why Jehovah's Witnesses work as they do.

(Romans 16:17) Keep your eye on those who cause divisions and occasions for stumbling contrary to the teaching that you have learned, and avoid them.

(2 Corinthians 4:4-6) The god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers

(Philippians 2:14-15) In among a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you are shining as illuminators in the world

(1 Timothy 6:3-5) If any man teaches other doctrine and does not assent to healthful words, those of our Lord Jesus Christ, nor to the teaching that accords with godly devotion, he is puffed up with pride, not understanding anything, but being mentally diseased over questionings and debates about words. From these things spring envy, strife, abusive speeches, wicked suspicions, violent disputes about trifles on the part of men corrupted in mind and despoiled of the truth

They've got answers, every cult has answers, trouble is their answers are gibberish.

I refuse to have anything to do with a group that (a) was set up by a dealer in fake 'miracle wheat' (b) has several times predicted the end of the world on a fixed date which has come and gone without anyone noticing anything different and (c) rejects blood transfusions.

And the only JW I ever knew well was a ghastly woman who terrorised her family.

I have to say thats its nice to hear that someone can think for thierself despite all of the other comments made by people...Try reading this scripture...(matthew 24:3-14) This explains why people dont want to listen and also why jehovahs witnesses go to your door...Did you ever think maybe they just want to help...

3 While he was sitting upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples approached him privately, saying: “Tell us, When will these things be, and what will be the sign of your presence and of the conclusion of the system of things?”

4 And in answer Jesus said to them: “Look out that nobody misleads YOU; 5 for many will come on the basis of my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many. 6 YOU are going to hear of wars and reports of wars; see that YOU are not terrified. For these things must take place, but the end is not yet.

7 “For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be food shortages and earthquakes in one place after another. 8 All these things are a beginning of pangs of distress.

9 “Then people will deliver YOU up to tribulation and will kill YOU, and YOU will be objects of hatred by all the nations on account of my name. 10 Then, also, many will be stumbled and will betray one another and will hate one another. 11 And many false prophets will arise and mislead many; 12 and because of the increasing of lawlessness the love of the greater number will cool off. 13 But he that has endured to the end is the one that will be saved. 14 And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come...
.......Hope this helps....

I believe everyone deserves to be heard and I do accept regular magazine from the JW's because I am open to hearing what other's believe. However, I cannot accept a number of their beliefs for example the obvious blood transfusion issue, the 144,000 who get into heaven leaving the majority of the believers on a glorified earth and the sacrament only being allowed to be taken by the 144,000 chosen ones, most already chosen.

The Jehovah's witnesses are a group that was built on a false prophet, that's ruled by a secret tribunal in Brooklyn, and that denies the divinity of Jesus Christ.

They are false teachers.

False teachers cause people to lose their souls. No one should listen to them.

Well, let's see... The JW's organization began in 1835 as the Watchower Bible and Track organization under Charles Taz Russell, a man the government sued for claiming to sell miracle wheat. He is now not acknowledged by the organization. His leadership was followed up by Judge J. R. Rutheford around 1842, who introduced a number of biblical heresies. They lost a larg following of folks in 1975 when they claimed that the end of the world was coming and folks sold their possessions, but nothing happened. One of their founding elders, Raymond Franz, was expelled from the organization for asking questions about their beliefs, and he in turn wrote a book called "Crisis of Conscience," in which he pleads with his former brothers to examine the principles of their organization.

The Jehovah's Witnesses are a cultic organization which denies the deity of Jesus Christ, deny his physical resurrection, claiming that he is actually Michael the archangel; they deny the deity of the Holy Spirit, saying he is only a force, and claim they are the only organization you can join on earth and truly be saved. They claim to be the true Israel and that the former Israel is no more (despite Romans 11:26); they claim that you cannot understand the Bible without their teachings, nor should you read it for yourself without their help; and their teachings have changed tremendously since their origins, despite their claims that they have not. They have a modified Bible that alters the words of the original Bible to support their teachings. They are taught not read any other teachings or books other than their own, and forbid their members to do the same. They claim that if you read the Bible by itself, you will be confused and lost.

They teach that anyone who leaves them is lost and an apostate believer, and that your family members can no longer fellowship or communicate with you. If you want to know more about the problems with the JW's teachings, read Raymond Franz' book I mentioned; he helped to research and write many of their original materials and doctrines They now claim that he, too, is an apostate and lost, even though he reaches out to them. he offers samples of their early teachings, when they were scripturally accurate, right from their own magazines, as proof of their current deception. They are truly, truly deceived. We must pray for them.

It is probably because of all of that Michael, Jesus stuff that they get no respect, Or the fact that they think that you must work to have a chance to get to "Paradise" or in all of the Jehovah's Witness doctrine about the "saints" all being JW. (an organization that started about 107 years ago) and Paull wrote to the Saints who are at ephesus??? Or maybe the fact that they say that Jesus is really Michael the Archangel, but the Bible says that Michael is really "one of the great princes" and the Jesus is God's only Begotten,, Of course if you must bring up this lack of understanding from the Word of God. If Jesus were an archangel,, but He is now sitting at the right hand of the Father, why Does the Bible say (Hebrews 1:13) "to no angel at anytime has He said sit at my right hand..."

The only time I have spoken to Jehovahs witnesses (in person), they gave me lots of questions rather than answers. And they didn't like the answers I suggested.

My grandfather was a very religious man. My father always said to us "if you want to go to church it is up to you to make that choice". I have always been interested in listening to people of different religions. They all have reasons why their religion is the best. Not one of them have yet convinced me. Not one of them have given me answers to my questions. I feel the nearest to my own ways and beliefs are the Buddhists. They believe ALL life is important, they are peaceful. I find myself torn between believing in an ultimate being and a book written by man - confusing and annoying.
