How does that make you feel when they tell you that they have no intention on getting a diploma or GED?

I give them my experience. Instant gratification sounds great until they become a legal adult then things seem to change. They begin to start thinking about the future and income and the only way to do this is to further your education by obtaining a GED and attending college. It is not easy, but it is intrinsically rewarding as one starts to mature. I am not telling you what I think, I am giving you my experience - former 8th grade dropout ... current college prof

It tells me they are either on drugs, or in a state of depression. I doubt his lack of motivation stops at school. Do they keep their room clean, how about their own personal appearance? Do they get excited over anything? If they will go, get them to a neurologist.

I'm not a teacher, but tell them that when others are making $20 per hour, they'll make $15, or much less. They understand money.
