The last couple of boyfriends I had have been very jelaous. They checked my phone, questioned my every move, got mad everytime anyone looked at me, I lost many good friends because of them. The thing is I have never given them a reason not to trust me. Just wondering what you guys think leads men to act this way?

Well I know where I have gone wrong, and perhaps you have done the same thing.

Sometimes when a relationship is new, we tend to share little bits of info about past relationships with our new boyfriend. This plays easily on guy's minds, and next thing you know they are asking 100 questions and letting the little green guy appear.

Try to treat your boyfriend as if he is your first. Don't bring up any past boyfriends, and if they bring them up... just tell them that you prefer not to discuss it as you are with them now.

I don't know how many times men have thrown things that I have told them about past relationships back in my face... don't let it happen to you!

Insecurity

Don't even bother asking why they act jealous. You will be wasting your time. Ninety-nine times out of 100 the root cause has nothing to do with you. Moreover, nothing you can do or say will change their behaviour. Don't delude yourself otherwise. If the jealousy continues, it only does so because you allow it to continue. Drop the chumps.

Personal issues and insecurities... Not anything *you* do, or don't do. These kinds of people will push and push, to see how far they can go with you. You have to put your foot down immediatly, the longest you should give them is a week or two. Don't let them get away with any of that.. Good luck!

They're insecure and insecure people are also paranoid.
They're are always thinking that you'll fine someone better and they don't want to be dump.
Sometimes jealousy can lead to abuse because jealous people always want things to be done their way, so they become controlling.

Definitely insecurity. It also seems they are somewhat obsessive and they have no life outside of you. You need to date guys that do other things except wait for another girlfriend.

Imagine yourself dealing with his jealousy for as long as your relationship last. Can you handle that? I think that's a major red flag. It's really up to you.

Insecurity in themselves is often the cause of jealousy....

They are insecure about themselves or just have been hurt in the passed.
