It's all about what you believe in. I have to assume that you believe in your god and other people believe in their god. Because there are no gods, they are incapable of punishing. So all "punishment" from a god is only because you believe your god is punishing you. Hence, you self-inflict the punishment on yourself. Something you don't believe in (someone else's god) can't punish you.

It's kind of like this. If you don't believe in Santa Claus, you can't believe that he left you a present. So if you don't believe in someone else's god, that person's god can't punish you. So if we could all just stop believing in a god the punishment would end.

um no ofcourse not! God is universal and God does not punish people for believing in God or not believing in God! God Is a faith and God can be real or just as easily a fiction , an illusion! So to conclude believing in any God is nothing but pure faith ... religion does not matter and those who say it does are just fake and have no real understanding of God!

My God doesn't punish anybody. Not like the Christian picture of God.

OK, say you jump out the window. The force of gravity isn't there because it's a direct punishment to somebody. It just does what it was designed to do.

most religions believe in the fact that there is only one God. so whichever one that is, he is the only one who can judge you. Personally, I believe in the God of the Bible and his Son Jesus.

By the way, His desire is not to punish, but to forgive and bring you in.

Since there is only one TRUE GOD then HE would be the one to punish you. all the others will be thrown into hell and for their followers to have the same final abode. or if you believe in the ONE TRUE GOD then HE would save you from hellfire.

There is only one God. He might punish you, that's between you and Him. It probably would depend on whether your beliefs were sincere or you were just defying Him purposely.
