You really need to ask yourself if that is the way you want to be treated.
If you reciprocate with profanity when arguing, then you have given him the right to continue.
If you do not reciprocate, then you need to tell him that you do not deserve to be treated that way, and that it is unacceptable. End the argument right then and there with that statement, and walk away or tell him you are ending the call. He will soon discover that you will not tolerate it and that he needs to revisit how he treats you.
Arguments do not give freedom to belittle or insult. You can have a healthy argument by stating your view, and respecting the other person's point of view in turn. If things get heated, maybe that is when you need to say that it needs to be discussed when both of you can speak in less angry tones.

Well if you are arguing then the things said are in the heat of the moment, it they don't normally don't do it then take it with a grain of salt..most people say things they don't mean when they are angry. Now if they do it all the time even when not fighting then there is a problem and discuss it with them that it bothers you.
