No! I believe we love Jesus through willingly showing compassion and forgiveness to others. We are to love our neighbours, even if they are our eneny.
Jesus sais:
"What you have (not) done to one of these least of my brothers that you have (not) done to me also."

OK, so let's walk through this...
I would like to be loved the way that Jesus loves me...
so I would want others to love me the way that Jesus loves me...
so I would want others to know who Jesus is...
so that we can each know love through Jesus (return to top).

Hard to love someone that is so vague. People are easier to love.
