It is not safe.
It cannot be safe because of the means you are using to do so.
When you astral project you aren't mentally leaving your body.
Instead your seeing through the eyes of a demon that is makin the trip for you.
Basically, you are possessing a demon.
Possession can go two ways. One can be possessed, or one can possess.
So stay away from it. You are opening demonic spiritual doorways that only you or someone appointed by God can close.
And once these doorways are opened, I can't tell you how hard it is to close them.
There are no safety methods to this... it is completely unsafe.
I hope you will heed my warning now.
Because if you don't, its going to get scarey and crazy. And no one is ever really ready for what they see. Then it gets hard to turn back.
God bless you and protect you whatever you do.

I have some good information and undesirable information for you. First the undesirable information, properly you'll take it as undesirable. Astral projection is imaginary. this is purely hallucinations, all interior of a persons' own head. What human beings call astral projections are purely trances, bright and/or lucid aims, and drug precipitated hallucinations. the best information is that you will be danger-free. As they're only imaginary, they couldn't damage you. you'll be in possibility for actual damage in case you're taking hallucinogens, as you may act out what you're hallucinating. For a trance, do not do something stupid like dehydrate your self in a sweat motel. this is available to easily do it in a standard chair (i understand from journey). Lucid dreaming could be fairly danger-free too. there's a small danger of performing out your aims, as lucid dreaming is really an in-between state of REM sleep. once you've a tendency for sleep strolling, or commence sleep strolling once you commence lucid dreaming, then sleep in a sound asleep bag, so that you aren't getting off the mattress. the possibility is really small, i have been lucid dreaming for round 10 years, and the in ordinary words actual action I pushed through became the equivalent of smacking an alarm clock (which persons do even even as not lucid dreaming). the better danger is that you'll have a really more effective danger of hallucinating when you're waking up (including the "sleep paralysis" journey) or as you're falling asleep.

find yourself a Pagan teacher and they will guide you.
this is something that takes time and knowlege.
it is not a safe game that is to be played at a sleepover.
you can get hurt or killed.
you need to know how to find your way, where you are going, and what you are doing when you get there. you need to know how to find your way back and what to do if you get lost.
you need to know what spirits you can trust, and what ones that you cannot trust and you need to know how to spot a shapechanger that is takeing the form of a spirit that you should be able to trust.
you need to be able to see aura or to sense a person's intent.
this will help you to judge whom you can trust on the astral plane.
all in all
you neet to take a very serious look at your spirituality and find someone that can teach you more than you can learn at waldenbooks or borders.
you need to figure out why you want to experience astral projection..if it is just for the experience or because you think that it will be fun..walk away now.
if it is because you are seeking proof of the spirit world...walk away now..
if you are seeking a connection with the devine and knowlege of how to honor the gods/goddesses proceed with caution.

plenty of good websites out there. Just stay alert up there. It's perfectly safe unless you deliberately try to kill yourself or you take drugs first.

if what is said is true, each "return" becomes more difficult.
Be careful. Things are not as they appear.
