im the new girl at a new school in a new state. after one and a half weeks, a guy likes me. i like him more as a friend, but im thinking that maybe if i go out with him ill meet more people at this school. please help me!!!!!

just tell him you'd be glad to hang out as friends - that way you can meet more people, and not hurt his feelings.

Sweetie,Unless he is asking u to marry him.I see nothing wrong with u and him going out.And u getting to know him and others at school better.Who knows u may find u like him more than u think.Or maybe not but at least u can have a chance to find out and maybe make a great friend if not alot more friends.Just take it slow and don't lead him or anyone else to think u think more of him or anyone than u do.Have fun and make Friends.

Take your time! Who is this guy? Is he popular? What do other people think about him? What's his family like? You might meet a great new crowd and have lots of fun, but it might end up coming back to haunt you. Just hang out, try to be friends with lots of people before "committing" to anything or anyone.

go out with him. at least just a for a little while. i just recently moved to a new state too and i know nobody at all. i would do anything to get to know ppl more! i only just started today at this school but i hate it already. just go out with him for a little while and who knows, maybe you'll end up liking him too? or at least you might meet some new friends! :-D i would so do it! good luck chicka

if you don't really like him. then i wouldn't go out with him. don't just use a guy to meet more people. its wrong. just get to know him better and maybe you'll end up liking him. and going out with him. or just join clubs. and that'll help you meet new people with the same intrests as yours.

Depends which crowd he hangs out with. If he hangs out with weirdos why would you want to ruin your reputation from the beginning? I think you should wait a little and than stick to cool people.

i think you are way better away from tha dude. dont worry, i think that in bout two mopre weeks more and more people will know you. and maybe, just maybe one of those people attracts you and you justmight find that being with a guy you really like is so cool!! i know, i've been through it. : )

You need to make it clear to him that you only see him as a friend. Don't use other people for your personal gain. If you do, you're already off to a bad start. Be fair and honest with him.
