I have asked many christians: "What proof do you have to authenticate christianity?" and they respond that you don't need proof for christianity to be true, all you need is faith.

What my question is, How do you know that your christian faith is correct, and other religions based on faith (like Islam and zoroastrianism), complete with their own miraculous claims and promises of redemption, are false?

According to the Bible, faith is the evidence of spiritual things. (Hebrews 11:1) In Ephesians 2:8-9 we are told that faith is a gift from God. The teaching is that it is not your faith that saves you but faith is your evidence that you have been saved by God. Logic has no place here and so it can't be explained to someone who doesn't believe. Faith is a wonderful thing to a believer because it is his evidence that God has chosen to give him eternal life.

Faith: The assured expectation of things hoped for, the evident demonstration of realities though not beheld.

Credulity: A readiness to believe something without sound evidence or just because a person wants it to be so.

How do "I" know my faith is correct? I have witnessed the hypocrisy in all the religions of christendom today. I have come to an accurate knowledge of the Bible and what Gods will is for me and all mankind. I have paid attention to the world around me and realize that creation bears witness to Gods wisdom, power, and glory. I have educated myself in order to be able to share what I know with those that are willing to listen. Are you willing to learn what true faith is?

The only true faith is faith in oneself!
As for what some before me have stated, actually there are several religions that promise redemption. All of them far older than Christianity.
As for my first statement if you don't have faith in yourself, you can never have faith in anything else. If you claim to, it is only an empty faith and is of no use to anyone least of all yourself..

You can't prove anything and in the end all of us that believe in some religion of sorts might end up being total idiots but it's our choice. All religion is is a bunch of beliefs and stories that could be just as true as Zeus but once you have an idea planted into your head, you're going to believe its true. My mom is a Christian and my dad is a Muslim so I don't know if that helped, but that's how i see things.

The Qur'an (Islamic holy book) is proof enough for me. it is the word of God, and in it are lots of scientific facts that over 1400 years ago only God could have known. The beauty and teachings of the religion are so great that it is impossible for it to be the word of man. After over 1400 years the religion is still as meaningful today as it was then, it can be applied to my life every minute of every day.

You can download a Computer version of the Quran from this website it is completely safe. I have it. It has Arabic and English translation, bookmark, search, contents page, and lots more. I strongly recommend it for you so that you can verify the quotes you receive for answers. Also you can read the surrounding verses to make sense of any quotes you read.

Christianity is the only FAITH with the promise of redemption.

Redemption comes through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, who gave His life in payment of our sin debt.

Without redemption, there is no remission of sin.

Without remission of sins, we have to no hope of eternal life.

Christ rose from the dead, overcoming the curse of death. For it is appointed unto men, once to die, then the judgement.

Yes, you must have faith in the redeeming work of Christ, but, faith without works is dead.

The Christian faith is the only faith, where the crux of it is, God loved us so much He gave His Son Jesus Christ, who gave His life so that we may have everlasting life.
No religion can claim the person who they worship, gave thier life for them.

That's why, Christianity is not a religion, it is a relationship between man and God, through Jesus Christ.

I have pretty good evidence that there is a creator. I was raised Christian, and I have seen the way most Christians live, and I want that life too. I feel Jesus at work in my life. I don't think any religion is false if it has this precept: "Love thy neighbor as thyself"; and most do have this.

what dont u get, yu dont need to prove a religion. if u believe in anything, not just a religion, you won't need proof you will just believe.

you probably are an evolutionist, the big bang is just a theory, its not yet proven. so why do u bilindly believe that,

do u see now why your question is ignorant and stupid.

You cannot "prove" anything in terms of faith. Faith & proof exist separately in two completely different systems of thought.

Why do you ask seekers to prove what they seek? Its like asking a man who is digging a mine to find a mineral to show the mineral before he finds it, right? Since you don't have the faith necessary to believe, would you be considered the swine Jesus warns us not to cast our pearls in front of?
