Call your insurance agent and he will tell you the steps to take.
He will probably say take pics and have receipts on the item.
Give them a call.

This can be added to your homeowner's or renter's policy. Be sure to insure it for stated value and have an appraisal or a current receipt. I have not heard of a Breitling watch, if this watch is extremely expensive you could call an agent that represents Fireman's Fund and they can write a policy just to insure the watch.

If you live in an apartment it needs to be added to your renters insurance as a scheduled item. If you own your home, then it needs to be added to your home owners policy. Or you can go to www.jewelryinsurance.com

Add it to your homeowners policy on a personal articles floater. You'll have to provide an appraisal or bill of sale.

You need to get an appraisal on it and schedule it on your homeowner or renters policy.
