Ok im 16 and in highschool and want to ask this girl i have liked for a long time out. We are both pretty close friends...Both of us havent really been in a relationship before... Im kinda shy so i dont know how i should, she is sad cause no guys ever do ask her out and she feels like she is ugly and everyone hates her because of it, she has told me that she likes another guy though and has told me who he is, she also says that she will only go out with guys that are already friends with her, should i ask her out, if so how?

You really are one of the good guys, aren't you?
Just ask her to a movie and after it's over you can discuss it and that will lead to more conversation about other topics.
Good luck!

You have to tread lightly with this only because you could get your feelings hurt when she doesn't mean to hurt them.

You and she are already close friends and both of you are a little shy about asking others out and you already know she likes another guy so you may find out that she just wants to be friends if you ask her out. On the other hand she said no one asks her out - but it probably isn't her looks stopping them, just the fact that she is shy which can come across as being stuck up or aloof. Even if you ask and get turned down as a romantic date, it doesn't mean you can't go out to eat or to a movie as friends.

Ask her if she'd like to go get something to eat or catch a movie - you have nothing to lose but your expectations of what it could be and what it already is - a good friendship. Whatever happens, always be there for her and keep her confidence in herself and her looks bolstered. It sounds like she may be more beautiful than she realizes - shy people usually are.
