It can happen in the first couple of weeks of taking them. After about two to three weeks the side effects will disappear and the tablets will start making you feel less depressed. It's worth riding it out through the side effects to get to that stage! Try eating a Bio Yoghurt or Yakult type drink every day, this will help ease your stomach.

It depends on the antidepressant.
An upset stomach can be a side effect.

Yes, with about half of the stuff I was given at various times. My doctor told me that it isn't a possible side effect at all, but the printed info I got from the pharmacist said that it is pretty common.

I get sick in the stomach from Erythromycin. Some pills can cause stomach problems. Why not get on Yahoo health and check out the side effects?

I notice with the cocktail of meds they have me on I get what it must feel like with pregnancy- the stomach wooziness that my wife described while carrying our two. Last night I just had to sit as still as possible and stop using the computer before my stomach finally settled down.
Depakote-1500mg, Lithium- 1500mg, Welbutrin XL- 300mg, and a multi-vitamin.

I did with venlofaxin, but it depends on the individual.

It should be listed on the side effects on the patient leaflet if it is a side effect.

Dodgy stomach, I dunno what that is. However, yes it can give stomachaches I think...doctors should have a list of all the possible side effects from taking certain medications right in their offices.
