Why doesent McDonalds take precautions to make thier foods less fatty? If they dont, i have an idea for McCholesterol Fat Kid-Fun Land. The kids are thrown into a rubber room, in pillow suits. They waddle around, bump into walls or other fattys, and act like when you tip over a tutrle. The attendant has to come and flip them back over.

They want it to be addictive. People don't make food like that at home. We are conscious about salt and fat when we cook. When we go out, we are amazed at the tastes out there... but that is because of MSG, additives, Salt, Sugar (ON THEIR SALADS!), Fat, etc...

lol, I like the waddling room.

I agree. I can't understand why fastfood resturants like Mcdonald's can't use fat-free mayonaise at least. Or low-fat cheeses made with skim milk.

I heard that the Mcdonalds in Denmark was forced to used no trans fat. If they can do it over there, why can't they do it over here in North America. I bet you wouldn't even taste the difference in the fries. Personally, I think they should be forced to bake them and not deep fry them at all.

Drink sizes should be limited to 12 ozs maximum. And even that is too much for a child.

They and other restaurants are meeting a demand. It isn't their fault if the customer gorges and eats that junk food every day . There's a reason it's called "junk food." If McD's has to make their food less fatty, then someone has to make chocolate a health food too. And I for one don't WANT that. I want it to be an occasional treat, not an everyday staple of my existance. Parents who blame the restaurant for making their kid fat, and for making themselves fat, should stop it, because they are taking the kid (or themself) there- what choice does the kid have? Buy some carrot sticks or celery for heavens' sake, eat a SALAD. Without a bunch of fatty dressing, mind you. Go exercising together!

It's not the restaurants fault, it's the parents' and the individuals' choice.

Yr skinny, aren't you? Also insensitive, and unaware. McD's has had a low-cal menu for yrs. But you can't force healthy stuff down folks' throats. Parents have the ultimate responsibility to order wisely for their kids, but too many either feel guilty about making them do without what "all their friends" eat, or are just abdicating their responsibility. That said, most of us are still gonna reach for the occasional big mac. There just ain't nuthin like it!

I dont believe totally its all McDonalds fault. We sometimes go there, I dont prefer it, but on occasion if I didnt cook, we will go to drive thru. No one in my family is overweight. My older boys dont even like it. Its the parents at home that give garbage all day & night to the kids with no exercise. Stop totally blaming Mickey D's, the people just go there when they run out of Bon-Bons and cheeze doodles, buritos and ice-cream. When the parents are obeise then the kids are.

They have the nutrition Lables on the Food now-- It's fried food how stupid can people get. People like the food why would they have to change it? Maybe parents shouldn't let their kids eat so much McDonald's and maybe they wouldn't have fat kids.

Staffing costs would increase, but seems to be a good fit for today's children. Maybe add a few video games, beanbag chairs and don't forget the McShakes.

Actually, McDonalds has made huge changes to their menu but people going to McD's don't want the low fat, low cal, low cholesterol foods.

If you read today's New York times, you'd see an article about a new low fat burger McD's is introducing.

It's good to see them making changes, especially to their kids meals which now offer apple slices and salads. Not enough to get me to eat there though... I know people who've worked there and they're the last people I'd want cooking my food *lol*
