vicious cycle!!! i'm right there with you... i don't know if you've gone to college, but take some classes that interests you. YOU HAVE TO DO SOMETHING FOR YOURSELF (aside from work/t.v./eating)... or you'll forget what being an individual is all about. to begin with, start with one hour a day - all to yourself and do something you enjoy or have been thinking of.
get in touch with nature (sounds corny, i know)... it will bring you peacefullness that you can't really get from being at work 12-14 hrs a day.
break the cycle!! it's all about BALANCE.... find it!!! :-)
one last thing, do you really need to work 12-14 hours? is this your dream job? do you really need all of the money that comes out of this job (if you get paid well)? if you answered no to any of these questions... find a job with less hours. life is too short and you have to enjoy it a little.

I understand what you are saying. And I think there are a lot of people out there just like you (and me).
I, too, have been stuck for a while. I am officially an empty nester, and am single to boot.
I am trying to find things that bring me joy again. Gardening, reading just for the fun of it, and I am thinking of going back to school to take a few classes. I think it is important to find what makes you happy. Life is not just about working, eating and sleeping, as you well know.

quit, its the best feeling in the world. There are so many better things out there then work, work work. Like school, or get a better job with a reputable company that will treat you like a person, pay you well and give you decent but enough hours.

You need a break to re-energize. Plan a vacation then take it when you're able. I just went through this with my husband. I didn't realize it had been awhile since he had a serious vacation. So, we took a few weeks, and it's made a world of difference. Good luck!

take a vacation. If you can't right now...plan one. I always believed that hard workers get rewarded in the long run. I was brought up that way. I have a good work ethic and have learned to take time out for myself and you should too.

"If you always do what you always did,you will always get what you always got!" This is a habit and to stop a habit you have to replace it with something else-this means a change in your life. Most people do not change through FEAR of failure but in10 years time, more people will be disappointed by what they did not attempt, than by what they perceived as failure. Every time the Fear starts to return, use it as a strength-from now on FEAR stands for FACE EVERY ADVERSITY RESOLUTELY. Go for it!!

Need more information: Do you have money saved up so that you could look for another job if you have to? What do you really, really enjoy doing (not necessarily work-wise, but just really enjoy?)
