It depends ! Sex is connected with how much we know each other, how deep we know each other. Sex is a expression of deep love. It is not like something (gift !) giving and taking.
I would prefer a gift to show your love and caring feelings.

Hmmm..it's always nice to receive gifts from someone you care about...but isn't sex (i.e., making love...being intimate) more of a personal gift than some material item?
I'd rather opt for the intimacy of something only you could give: yourself.
