OK ii AM A HAiiR DRESSER... NO ALCHOL YOU DONT WANT YOUR HAiiR TO SMEEL LiiKE THAT YOU JUST SUPPOSED TO USE A MiiLD SOAP AND SUM WATER ON A CLOTH JUST MAKE SURE YOU WiiPE ALL THE MiiLD SOAP OF BEFORE YOU USE iiT

I use an alcohol prep pad.. Of course keep the flat iron off. The hairspray and residue should come right off.

While the flat iron is off and not hot, wipe it off with a damp paper towel. If there is built up residue, then try spraying some windex on it, then wiping it off.

If it is ceramic, clean with lightly soapy water with a towel. and make sure you get all the residue off. Alcohol also works. If it's metal you can use steel wool. Use carefully though. then clean all the residue off with water.

I always heard alcohol would clean them I use it on my curling iron.
