Maybe she never learned how to tie her shoes, and she's embarrassed to tell you.

It seems to me that falling down in public would give her the incentive to either tie her shoes or buy slip ons.

Take her shoelaces away. There is a condition involving the right brain that makes people not be able to tie shoelaces!! Either that she is crying for attention!! Just leave her alone and buy her a box of ban-aid!!

Tie them for her when she trips next time.

If not wait till she takes her shoes off at home and time them in 4 really tight double knots when she tries to get them on in the morning.

Good luck,
I feel your pain!

Sounds like a smart kid who has more important things on her mind than what clothes she is wearing. You are going to cry when she's in med school, and you are flopping whoppers.

I'm an old man, but she sounds like the sort of young woman I'd like to know, not romance, but friendship. I bet she has interesting thoughts in her brain.

It won't take too many times falling on her face in front of a crowd of her peers before she'll realize that tying one's shoes is a good thing.

Leave her alone about it. It's not a big deal. Love her for who she is. She's your sister.

Are you older than her?
I think you just try this: 1- Don't be embarrassed, and try not to take it serious.
2- if you just can't let it go, don't go out with her and tell her that if she likes your company, she should respect what you feel. I hope this will work for ya.

Take away the laces. Presto! No tripping on laces. However, her shoes may fall off.
