But they mostly all disagree. How can I find out which one is correct? Does anyone know where I can find the official declaration or bill or anything?

You can search the federal laws yourself. Start with this one:

http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/D?c109:2:./temp/~c109aq1pCR::

That's what I did, going back over every single law passed. And finding no Declaration of War, and many references in the Congressional record to the fact that no war was declared, I reached my conclusion.

Congress, the Senate actually, did not formally declare war. They're too much big ******* to do that - at least those on the left are. What they did do was authorize the use of force. So in a technical sense they declared war unoffficially without actually passing an overt war declaration. Part of the problem is that once they officially declare war it gives the President more powers, in a sense, than if they keep a tighter reign on him as they've done.

Well they granted him war power to invade Iraq. It was one of the various resolutions passed in Congress shortly after they said that their was WMD in Iraq. The best place to find it is either on wiki under the Iraq or you can search the Senates website for the Resoultion. I believe it was passed in 2003.
