it is about five years old.just 4 red blinks nothing else. help so i dont have to pay repair person to tell me its not worth fixing!

the 4 blinks are telling you that vertical deflection has stopped. yes it is worth fixing. service depending on where you live should be between $150-$350. a lot cheaper than a new T. V.

I had a big screen that gave me problems after 5 years(RCA). It got to where it wouldnt turn on. I would get it it fixed and it would last a year or so then get it fixed again. Each time something different and each time it would cost $250. I got to calling it my $250 TV. After the 5th time I said forget it and hauled it to the dump. I think $250 was the only price they knew.

the main processor seems to have gone out if the signal isnt completed it just blinks if you only have red there are additional problems with the green and blue bulbs
