or does "self limiting" mean he does what he can, and will heal in time .?

my boy is a 6month old great dane ( harly).
he came down with hod RIGHT after a distemper shot , then began to heal and had another distemper booster and is now dean lame in both front legs. and they wonder if its the distemper? i know it is !now!.

HOD can be very serious and can lead to long term problems and in some cases death.
My brother had a Irish Setter with HOD 2 years ago and it was a long and hard recovery. Confining the dog worked well and made the recovery easier.
It is not as "self limiting" as Pano in many cases, but usually has a good outcome...providing it is not a Weimer....they can have more complications.
