I'm going to get my hair cut in the morning, and I don't know what I should do prior to going. My hair is naturally wavy, but now that it's long, I keep it layered, and sometimes straightened. Before I go, should I wet it? Do i go in with it wet, or straightened? any advice???

Your stylist should shampoo your hair ( I wash 2x) and condition it. Sometimes they charge for these services ( I don't). You may want to call and see if there is a charge for washing and conditioning, if so, then do it yourself and go in with it wet. I hate to see that. I think it is on the cheap side for a salon to charge for a shampoo and conditioner. You do need to find out though.

Definitely shampoo it so you won't need to have that done and you'll save some money that way. Then wear it Au-natural so the stylist can see what they are working with, they'll wet it if needs wetting.I'm jealous, I wish my hair was naturally wavy

Well, I would probably straighten it. I've went in for a haircut before and my hairstylist (who happens to be my aunt) straightened there, because i hadn't before I came. Or you can just wear it how you usually wear your hair. That way your stylist knows how you usually wear your hair and what would look best on it.

if you go in with wet or straight hair, the stylist wont be able to see your hair in its everyday state. i would suggest to go to the salon with your hair as you wear it everyday so the stytlist can see what she has to work with. BEFORE she washes your hair, have a talk with her and tell her what youd like to achieve with the cut, and maybe she can suggest some options to you.
