I am Mormon, but I have never learned or been taught anything about the Chrisitan "rapture"..so any mormon's out there - i don't think we believe in it but I am not sure if we believe it is something else...

We do believe in the Book of Revelations too, and that Christ will come and spare the rightuous from "the big burn," various Christian groups have various ideas of how the details of that work, but under that generic definition, I'd say yes.

The rapture is based on one verse in Revelation that says there will be two in a field and one will be taken. It doesn't say which is the good one and which is the bad. One thought is the opposite of the rapture taking people away; those that remain are here to carry out God's work in the millenium.

The rapture (or rupture) is a load of crap, espoused by idiot fundamentalists who "discovered" this "great truth" in 1959 when 'God" visited some lunatic in an asylum.
