I would immagine that if they wanted a better life, they would take steps to liberate the Mexican goverment of its coruption. Hispanic groups such as La Raza and MEChA preach hate and lies directed at the United states, they cliam it is in the best intrestof its people, but I would immagine that is they really wanted to help their people, they would protest aginst the Mexican goverment.
The Mexican goverment has the ability totake care of its people, but chooses to only feed the pockets of the wealthy Mexican families.

many come over for jobs and then find the government takes care of them. working as an interpreter in Portland one Mexican lady said. In her country if she had a baby she had to work to support it, here in the US the government pays her to have babies.
I do not think that having a baby in the US should entitle you to anything. It would entitle that child to a life in the US but the parents no. If you go to mexico and have a baby you can not get mexican citizenship for yourself. Just the baby. Try going to Japan. Babies born in Japan are citizens only if their blood line is pure. There are Koreans who have been there since 1940's who can not get a passport out of japan because they are not consided Japanese citizens. So they can go no where. Go to Mexico and try to get a job. Their ruling is the jobs are for Mexicans first and if no one in that country can do that job then maybe they bring in oursiders. We on the other hand say welcome to the US here is your welfare check. OK you had a kid your check increases each time you have a kid. It says that to many of the american people too who think that welfare tis ther "pay Check" for having illigitimate babies. The fathers do not have to worry just go on their happy way.
I thought about that. So the immigrants and not just Mexicans. You have europeans and asians too come over for jobs to start with but also all the government free medical, dental, childcare and welfare. but then we have a butt load of Americans whose life styles are the same. They are taking a ride on the government. Your last statement very true. Just the chosen get to be wealthy.
Who am I to speak. My aunt carried me across the Mexican border when I was 3 months old. She wanted a better life for me and here I am, having lived and worked the American dream.

LadyGemini and anyone else who is still confused by this-the movie 'A day without a Mexican' was a work of fiction, one persons imagination in a 'what if' scenario. As for it being realistic? Fine hotels, motels and restaurants will not shut down if they lose their staff, they would very quickly fill the vacant spots, these places make major money, they have other resources. And any large group of people marching in the street will cause problems. You people need to stop flattering yourselves, you are not important to us

If their country gave a da** about them they would of not come here to find a better way of life. Have you ever seen a movie called" A Day Without Mexicans"? Everything stopped. Clothes did not get cleaned, no one serve food at the restaurants, housekeeping chores were not done at the fine hotels or even at the motels. When they marched in Los Angeles, they shut down downtown Los Angeles for hours. Business had to close. Traffic was re routed. Whatever it takes to get a job they do it. They want a better life not a free ride.

I feel they should uprise in their OWN country. Many homeless people in america would gladly do the jobs illegals do just to be able to feed their selfs or their family. And to BB, my ancestors came LEGALY, they waited their turns, there are pople who come to america legaly now, from basicaly every country but mexico most of the time, They leave their family behind so they can get a life prepared, and their family has to wait years to get citizen ship to come into this country, while the illegals just hop over here, they could put their lives in less danger and get in line for citizen ship.

The government having to spend 68 Billion a year on them tells me they want the free ride. The Mexican government has the best of both worlds. We support them, Educate them, and even let them tie up our judicial system, and The illegals send all their money back to Mexico. I think the Americans are going to revolt much sooner than any of the Illegals.

I think that some do really want a better life and are willing to work for it, but some do also come here looking for a free ride.
Just like American-born citizens, some are willing to work, some just want everything given to them for free. (Cough! Welfare!)

Yes you ****** moron I think that Osama bin Laden would love to have the room to plan a attack. While the Taliban were in charge of Afghanistan he had the freedom to move around contact people in the open and not having to worry about moving from house to cave to house. So yes I feel he would love to have the freedom to move around and plan his next attack. His main goal right now is to stay hidden in a cave so we do not find him.
