I told my fiance last night that I wanted to push the wedding back a year, just to make sure we are doing the right thing. I already know I'm getting COLD feet from just thinking about it. But do you think I was wrong for doing that? And is it a case of just the wedding day jitters or I'm I just confused about life.

You need to ask God for guidance. ask your self these questions Are you in love with him theres a diffrence in loving someone and being in love. Would you do any and everything for him for the rest of your life. Some of it might be jetters but if you have major doubts then you need to what or call it off. Trust me things dont get better when you get married they either stay the same or get worst. It cost alot more to get divorced then to get married.

Not knowing you personally it would be hard to say but getting married is a serious life changing event and if you feel the cold feet and jitters then take the time to really think about how you feel and what you want out of life. Step out of the box and take a honest look at your relationship. There is nothing wrong with being cautious.

If you really are having any doubts at all or not sure it is the best idea, then yes, wait. However, being recently engaged myself and not for the first time, it is very easy to psyc (AKA freak) yourself out on the idea of only being with one man for the rest of your life... scary thought huh? If that is the only thing that has you getting cold feet don't worry about it and try to push it out of your train of thought. Stay focused on why that is a good thing, not a bad thing.
The first time i of getting engaged (well we went to pick out rings) I realized that the guy was not who I wanted to spend the rest of my life with or to have as the father of my kids. I had not been thinking into the future like that until we started ring shopping. So when i came to that realization i broke up with him.

I very seriously doubt pushing the wedding back a year is going to change anything. You either want to spend the rest of your life with this guy or you don't. Are you guys broke, too young, is his family insane, what's your issue? Don't put down anymore deposits, because you're going to lose the ones you already paid.

Nothing wrong with waiting till it feels right.
We pushed our wedding back a year so that we could pay for everything out right. There is no better feeling than being debt free after your wedding.

No it isnt wrong. It is best to be sure before you get married because divorce is expensive. However set a date for next year and if 2 months before that date you still are unsure then call off the whole thing...dont string him along if you dont want to marry him by then. If you dont want to marry him by then, then you probably will never want to marry him.

THe best things u can do is to tell her you need to talk, then don't hold back! tell her everything ur feeling and let her and her love for you help you thru these things.

IF she truly loves you, she'll wait till ur ready.
