Of course!! It's not that uncommon at all. What people have a hard time with is that we are spiritual beings and I do believe that life does exist after we we think of is death.
My dad and mom have been gone for years...my mom's perfume used to wake me up in the middle of the night.... my dad pushes me to do the right thing.... I can 'feel' his energy around me.
They say children are more spiritual than adults because they're brains are not 'hardened into this world' yet. As we 'learn', we become 'closed'....... always try to keep an open mind and trust yourself.

I was engaged to a guy and he died in a car accident about 5 years ago. For a long time I would dream about him frequently. And in my dream I still knew he had passed away, but I would never say anything because I thought he would have to leave. I would get really upset because he would act like we were just friends or casual acquaintances when I just wanted to hug him and kiss him and be close to him. Eventually I started having the dreams less, but they became happier. I still dream about him every now and then, but they are happy dreams where it's just me and him usually laying in the grass talking and laughing.

Yes - it really and truly did happen to me. I was told to go somewhere (to a grave) and I found something of importance there, just at the time that I got there. As with anything of this nature - some people will believe in this without much explanation, while with others - an "army" of people explaining them will not convince these people that these things are not either made up, or are simply coincidences. Personal experience is, in my opinion, the "best teacher" in these areas!

When my father passed away in Pennsylvania, I was in Taiwan. I was sitting at a desk in a hotel room in Taipei, writing out post cards. A very strange sensation came over me. I took a sheet of paper, looked at my watch, wrote down the time and the words "dad just died." When I got home for the funeral, consulted with my mom and figured out the time zone differences, it turned out that I had written my note EXACTLY at the time that my dad passed away.
What I take away from that experience is the direct knowledge that we are somehow connected in a manner that is independent of the senses and seems to be insensitive to distance, and for which we (presently) have no explanation. Anything beyond those observed facts is mere speculation. I expect that it might have something to do with quantum interconnectedness... but that, of course, is just a guess. It is our experiences that matter... not our interpretation of them. Our interpretations are inevitably contaminated by 'beliefs'... unless one is fortunate enough to have succeeded in stamping out internalized beliefs, as I have. I see nothing 'supernatural' in this... I regard 'supernatural' as a cop-out word that gets applied when there is a natural occurrence which is not understood. I think that anything that can exist or occur in the universe is, by definition, 'natural'. It just happens that there is still a whole sh*t-load of natural stuff that we are unable to explain... heck... there is a whole sh*t-load of natural stuff that we are not even AWARE of yet. We have only just begun to unlock the secrets of the universe, and have only just scratched the surface with regard to being able to DESCRIBE the universe, let alone EXPLAIN it. Humanity is still in its infancy, with regard to having the intellectual and technical means to figure out this stuff. Hopefully, we'll be able to get the work done without getting dragged into another 'Dark Ages' by deluded Fundie boneheads. Just give it another 200 - 500 years.

Its like you read my mind. Twice, my mom came to me in one dream and a good friend who died came to me in another. At the start of the best and hardest hike I have ever done, I dedicated it to my friend and a few nights after I was back he came to me in the dream and thanked me, he said it was a great time and he was real busy in heaven, thats where the important action is, what we do here is like sandbox playground stuff before the big show.

yes. it happens more than once. usually people say, oh you were just thinking of them before you fell asleep thats why you dreamt of that person etc etc. but really i think when people leave this place, they have unfinished things or sometimes they use your dream to come back to tell you what they didnt get a chance to, or its something thats important for them to share so they can get it done so they can be on their journey. i think its a real feeling. i had a dream one time my aunt came back and told me about her things she had kepted in this place that no one knew. not even her husband, i didnt tell anyone but i wwent and looked for it, sure enough it was what she mentioned in the dream, and her husband cried, bc he hasnt seen their pictures of when they first started dating until, a few weeks after she had died, which been 13 years ago, that she kepted in her box inside another box in their attic inside their childs first toy box. in her dream she said im skinny again, im skinny again, the reason why her husband hasnt seen those pics is bc she told hims he tore it up years and years ago bc she knows she wont be that skinny again. she was 215lbs when she passed, but in thepictures she was 115lbs. thats why he cried.

i don't know how this will sound but here goes... my boyfriend's siter was killed in a car accident (over a year ago) and my boyfriend has been going through the stages of mourning. on one of his bad days i was with him, just being there for him and consoling him. later that night i had a dream and his sister (very into the new "rock bands"... good charlotte, all american rejects, etc.) was up on stage singing that song "move along" by the all american rejects... i feel that it was a sign that she wants me to tell my boyfriend to keep moving on with life, don't let her death stop him from reaching his goals, and that someday everything will be set right if he just continues to pull through... what's your take on it (anyone answer please)? i also had one about my grandfather. he didn't make it to my highschool graduation because he was sick with cancer. he was always a strong support for me, we were very close. he promised me that when i graduated from college (massage therapy school for me) that he would be there, but he passed away before i graduated. i was feeling really down around the time of my graduation and he came to me in a dream and told me how proud of me he was, i hope dreams like this never stop... i see them as a veiw into heaven!

Yes, and I can tell the difference between a visit and a dream. Each visit has involved very specific things that were going to happen and they did.

Yes, I was awake, and my grandparents, in unison told me to stop wasting my time, which at the time I was. THis was about a year after they had both died. I only heard their voices. I saw nothing. For the record, I am a Jew.

The dead does not come back to talk. My Bible tells me the dead knows nothing. Read Ecclesiastes 9:5 about this. For the saved people the Bible says, To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord. Be careful on who you think you see come back, if they are dead. The devil himself, can transform into an angel of light.
