They will soften the glue and clip/pull the braces off. It isn't that bad. I fall asleep both times getting them on and off. It is just boring.
The glue will come off, they will use a special cleansing material, and then as you brush at home it will keep coming off.

Don't worry the glue doesn't stay on.

Don't worry...the white spots will go away. When they take off the braces, they basically just snap off the brackets and then use this kind of scraper tool to scrape off the glue. It hurts a little, but it's not that bad.

they used a high pressure airgun on me after my braces came off to try to remove the glue. My teeth are sensitive so it hurt and I told them to stop before they got it all off. Now I have some spots where the glue still is. Its been 3 years since I got them off and the glue is wearing down.

They get the glue off, don't try to dislodge it yourself, or the whole brace will come off.

If you are seeing other white spots, especially under the wires, where it is hard to clean around, and it looks like the enamel might be "pitting" you may be getting a cavity.

Talk to your dentist at your next visit and bring up your concerns about dental hygeine at your next ortho visit.

You cant. Any bright white spots on your teeth means that you werent taking care of your teeth well. So what happened is that your tooth began breaking down (beginning of a cavity) but it stopped before it turned into a cavity. So it left a white "scar" mark behind. If you whiten your teeth the white areas will just get brighter and never match the other teeth. No one really notices. Ask the orthodontist if there is anything they suggest you can do.
