Looks like you are smarter than your teacher. Suck it up and enjoy the time off of school, and every time you look at her know that deep down inside, you have more common sense AND a better memory than her.

I actually currently have pink eye right now but it was way worse yesterday that my friends at school were able to see it across the school hall. So this girl in my class who is actually a frenemie of mine had walked up to me and asked me to wear some glasses, i was confused why she would say that so i asked her why and then she replied that pink eye is hypo-contagious meaning that it spreads just by the look of the person. And then later that day around the fifth period or so, the exact same girl had asked me a question about my eye so loudly on purpose so the whole class was able to hear her and know that i am experiencing an eye disease right now. So since that day, people always comment and ask me if i have pink eye even if my eye just looks a little red. I wish that I could go into peoples minds and see what the f goes on in them and then make a few tweeks just so they wont bully me. Tehehe!!!

Pink eye is contagious and you should not be at school until it is cleared up. You can buy medicine at the drug store for pink eye. Similason is the brand that we have used with success. However, your teacher is wrong about getting pink eye just by looking at you. That is pretty ridiculous if you think about it - I can't think of any illness or disease you can contract just by looking at someone who has it. My guess is that she was a little hysterical dealing with this particular situation and maybe has had pink eye too many times. Pink eye has several different causes and if over the counter medicine does not make it better in a day or 2, go to your doctor. Be sure to let your parents know what the teacher said and if need be, they may need to let the principal know what happened.

the only way for someone else to get it from you is by contact with the eye, mucous or its discharge...but say you rub your eye then pick up a pencil you have potentially contaminated that pencil...then you put pencil down and teacher picks it up...she now has come in contact with pink eye and more than likely will show signs of it a few days later...if you do have it then best thing for everyone..including your friends..is to stay home...talk to your parents about this and maybe even go to a walk in clinic to have it verified...

Pink eye (conjuntivitus) is highly contagious and can travel and live in the air. It's not like you get it just by looking at it; however, it can live in the air outside the body. Anyone who comes in contact with the contaminated air could possibly be infected.

You can't get it by just looking at it but it is VERY contagious and your teacher just doesn't want to get it. Can't say I blame her. Germs are everywhere and you probably spread them around to everyone. Good job.

That's ridiculous. Pinkeye IS very contagious, however. Maybe she was just exaggerating for effect.
