At the very least you have some irritation maybe an infection. Try warm salt water and swish it around in your mouth as ofter as you can. If you have some hydrogen peroxide you might try some of that in your salt water mouth wash too. If it doesn't clear up in a couple of days, check with your DDS. Mouth infections are nothing to mess around with.

When i had braces,my gums swelled up for a couple days because of the tightening of the wires.Next time at a new appointment ask your dentist.Cool drinks help if the teeth are not sensative.Relaxing helps to keep blood from rushing and getting that pulsing feel.So chill.

Try some salt water and that may help.
Put some table salt (3 tablespoons) into half a glass
of warm water and rinse every couple of hours.
Don't do it for more than three days.

Are you flossing every night? Braces or not, if you don't floss you can get gingivitis because of plaque buildup. Try flossing and using mouthwash on a regular basis. Also when you brush, go into the gumline and brush softly.

FLOSS...
sounds like gingivitis is making herself known. The only way to fight her off is with daily flossing, and rinse with Crest Pro Health or Listerine in the AM.
Thank you, now that will be $30.
JUST KIDDING ;)
