and during the day, i think it would be interesting. I like my little boy cat and I wanna know where the pretty little thing goes!

Additional question, how do people care for cats who live in cities, do you worry about traffic and nasty dogs etc?

I would like to put one on my dog's collar, but not on the cat or rabbit since they are lazy bums.

yes!!! me and my brother had this idea: you put a radar on your cats collar so that if they are missing, you can log onto you wheresmycat.com and you will be able to see a map with your cat as a little red dot and where he is! then you coudl go get him, or whatever you want. the camera seems like an advanced version.

as far as living in the city- i am worried constantly! i started letting my cat out sometimes at night, never on weekends. only weeknights. i live near a really busy street and ive never seen any cats down in the area. as far as dogs go, i would imagine your cat shoudl know enough to stay away. good luck!

A lot of people restrict their cats activities due to the dangers of traffic, aggressive dogs, neighbors that don't like cats pooing in their gardens and who WILL poison or otherwise harm them.

I have cat fence-in in my back garden. It's a pretty sterile environment in that birds are smart enough to stay away and there are no mice to catch. Occasionally a small lizard or snake gets caught. They do have the benefit of sunshine and fresh air every day, and almost as much space out there as in the house, for chasing around.

What a brilliant idea! I have recently been adopted by a cat but I'm quite sure I'm not its only 'owner' - it's probably got half the neighbourhood at its beck and call!

My husband recently told me that the difference between dogs and cats is that dogs have owners and cats have servants!

Back to the video idea though, I'd probably end up being extremely envious when I discover that my cat has a better social life than me!

Unless you never get squeamish, dont put a camera on your cat, coz that so called pretty little thing will be busy ripping the heads off of mice, birds and tearing the innards out of baby rabbits, which I think are all far prettier than any nasty cat! And don't think for a minute that yours doesn't do that.

Id love to do that, mine doesnt go far, over the nighbours garden and round the fields, but I would love to see exactly what she gets up to.

I live in the city by a main road, but she never goes on the road, she usually goes over the back field or if she goes round the road way she trots along the pavement.

I'm starting to really love my girlfriends cat, and I do believe it goes on all sorts of adventures at night. I'd be afraid that if I put a camera on the Liger, then I could be disappointed when all she does is go to the sh*tbox.

Not really. It'd only see the floor, the bed, the floor, the food dish, the floor, the water bowl, the floor, the bed, maybe one of the other cats running, the floor, the bed...

I avoid the whole outside dangers thing by keeping everybody inside. No one argues with me after I toss them out during their first snow.

Excellent notion! ... but I go with my cat every night when he goes out... so, no mysteries for me there - but the angle! ah, the angle!

I once had a vivid dream that i was running with a pack of cats in some farm... entered a barnyard and saw a spider hanging in a web above my head - i was a cat!
