How do you communicate with it?
Do you talk to it as if it were a normal person or do you talk to it in Crazy Baby Speech?
I talk to my cat, usually as if he were a person, though when he's playful or when I'm buggin him before I pick him up, I slip into crazy baby talk.
Even though I know he's a very clever cat and I love him dearly, I do say that he's stupid (coz he is very very clumsy).
Like,... "are you crazy or stupid, you don't bite the mommy!!"
Stuff like that, I know he doesn't know what stupid is - he just knows that I love him and what ever gibberish I say is just gibberish and also he knows his name is about it.

Bye the way - I too am very very allergic to cats.
If I'm not around a cat for a week or more, my allergies come back and I have to suffer for three weeks.
Actually, you can develope a tollerance for your cat allergy. You just need to spend time with a cat, gradually your body will adapt without the need for meds.
There are times that my cat, is the best medicine in the world.
If you love cats, like I do. If you can care for a cat, ask yourself, why the hell not?
I'm sure you would love to enjoy the companionship that a little bundle of furry soft "accidents looking for a place to happen" would bring to you.
Sure from time to time I might have a little itchy eye for a few minutes, or the random sneeze.
But he brings me a little joy and happiness when I least expect it. Its worth the occasional discomfort, its a minor ache compared to the love of another.
