Hey, never grow up. No one says you have to. As long as you handle your necessary responsibilities, play play play. Find what you enjoy and go with it, you hurt no one. Just remember to smile alot and when you do cry, it is a good thing. It means you can feel. Most souls today are numb, feel glad you have feelings!

Oh, to be 19 again!!!! From my years of experience I would say if you don't want to grow up; then don't.
It pretty simple really, just be true to yourself. Enjoy, whatever you can when you can. I can assure you with time passing you by, day by day you will grow up. It just happens. Until then don't worry about it.
It is good that you think about the future but try not to dwell only on the sadness but the great times ahead, the excitement of finding out about the unknown, and the joy of living your purpose for life.
Be who you are and stand tall, and I hope when you reach my age you will still cry while watching kid films.

Hey, I'm a girl, if that has anything to do with it (as girls generally are supposed to develop physically and mentally earlier than guys and end sooner, myth or not). Anyway, I'm 20, and I hate it.
1.) I wasted too much time just being a kid who just plays and plays and not doing so much of developing through reading, writing, becoming more independent, etc.
2.) I wasted too much time wallowing in depression about growing up. When I was 13, I wrote in a diary about hating how my 14th birthday was coming up, and the pattern stuck without any real progression in my life.
3.) 30-50 somethings are far too underrated. They're not *that* old; it's just that with the onset of America's bad health, diet, lack of exercise, etc. they generally look like much more crap than their potential.
Anyway, no matter how old you are, there is some part of you that is childish-prone...whether it be goofing off physically, etc.
However, just be sure you're taking aspects of your life that deal with career development, exercise, diet, school, community service, hobbies, skills, etc. of an adult seriously or else...you may regret it even more later.....which is a horrible feeling.

Yes, you are at that age that you want to be a adult and take full responsibilities of life, but then again...inside of you is still a kid who don't want to grow up and still be taken care of by your parents. This age is one of the hardest one to go through.
Just to do some serious thinking and do researching on what you would like to do with your life.....there are so many opportunities out there in the world for you. Good luck!! :)
Right now you are feeling insecure and that is normal. Even your friends are probably going through it too and you don't even know it.......

You know what??? I'm 30, I have 4 kids and I still feel like a teen. I tell you why: I love wrestling, Star Wars (I collect action figures) videogames( Metal Gear, of course, I love Snake, he is sooooooo hot, lol) and my favorite console is Gamecube and will be Wii. I play with my kids all the time, I love Daddy Yankee and his reggaeton music, and I don't think I'm old. I take care a lot of my face and skin, and people think I'm 20 (36-30-38, and 137 lbs) I feel gooooooood!!! You are so young to feel like this, enjoy your life as best as you can. Good Luck

We all have to grow old sometime, whether physically, mentally or spiritually, whether outside or in. Just enjoy life as much as you possibly can, because you'll never have a shot at it again. As I say, "aim high, 'cause you'll never shoot again if you miss." Also, you may become older on the outside, but deep inside anyone can still be a kid or an innocent youth.

I was 16 when I found out that I had to grow up. I still haven't--and no one ever does. The physical body passes through adolescence, yet, as humans with minds that adapt, we change every day and our behavior evolves even though in many respects some facets of our character don't change as we age. Read Judith Viorst's book _Necessary Losses_.

It is not silly at all we all long for the innocents and ignorance of childhood, but look at it as a new adventure, a chance to explore new things and learn new stuff......besides being a kid at heart, keeps you feeling young and happy, and you live longer and are healthier too.

Why do you have to grow up?
I mean, I know eventually we'll all have mortgages, kids, and car payments, but why not stay childlike inside forever?
I know lots of people who are over 40 but still kids-at-heart. You don't have to loose your sense of wonder about the world. I say, keep it for your whole life! If other people don't understand, well, then they're not worth your time.

My daughter is 10 and she doesn't want to grow up either. She is an only child and loves being a kid. Who could blame her? She is spoiled rotten, we have alot of fun together, love to hang out with eachother. Why would anyone want to grow up in this world anyway?
