You guys might be familiar with the myth that Earwigs lived in human ears and then eat your brain. I don't really believe that because our eardrum and our bone skull are both like security guards. But I just remembered something. Remember when Lincoln and John F Kennedy were both shot in the head(which got through both brains) and died? Well, why is it that a person can get instantly killed with one shot in the head that can go through a brain, but an insect can't be able to even touch our brain?

By the way, I don't approve of any nasty comments about this question especially comments like I've got bugs inside my brain or I've got no brains. Keep your nasty comments to yourself and just please answer my question.

A bullet is a high speed projectile, designed to penetrate almost any substance (modern bullets can pierce body armor, ect.). Therefore a bullet can simply smash through your skull at any point and intercept your brain.

Remember an Earwig is not a projectile! For it to get to your brain it needs an existing route to travel. Our bodies our designed to keep foriegn objects from simply "crawling in", hence a Earwig can't simply crawl to your brain. The ear isn't actually a "hole to your brain", it eventually connects to nerve ends that relay electronic impulses to your brain.

Because a bullet is several times heavier than a bug and it hits a LOT faster/harder than any bug ever could — close to the speed of sound, actually.

The bullet just busts right through the skull as if it was an eggshell.

I didn't know that no bug could penetrate the brain. My cats get ear mites and One cat had one side of his head swollen because of them.

Viruses are referred to as bugs as in flu bug and would you say that no viral infection (viral bug) can get into the brain?

I would guess that somewhere in the world there is a bug that is worming its way into the brain. I guess because of the old saying "Where there is a will there is a way."

A bullet has a much higher velocity and force than anything a bug can do.

because our ears arent connected to the brain
the tunnel doesnt lead to our brain so bugs can't crawl through and get to your brain
