You can place it in a ziploc bag and put it in hot water or you can defrost it in your microwave by following your microwave's instructions.

If I am stretched for time, I do use the microwave's defrost setting. Most will allow you to input how many pounds of meat you are trying to defrost. Also, make sure to check it every couple of minutes, because if you're not careful, the outside will start to cook. What I do is scrape off the thawed part, and return it to the microwave. I do this repeatedly until it is all thawed out so that the outside doesn't cook in the microwave.

Never defrost meat in hot water. Bacteria will start to grow. Defrost in cool water. You can microwave but the meat will start to cook. The best way to defrost any meat is in the fridge.

Microwave on very low setting for 5 minutes or so (depends on your microwave's power).

Your microwave should have a defrost setting, or at least instructions on what setting(s) to use for that.

No microwave? Your best bet would be to chop it with a cleaver and put it in a low-heated pan, stirring frequently.
