Every place that sells tickets will charge an extra fee. Orbitz, cheaptickets ect ect ect, they all charge fees. The best thing you can do is look up low fares on one the travel sites, then book it directly on the website of the airline. Many airlines even charge fees for booking over the phone now. Another option is to call a travel agent , as sometimes they get special discounts.

Go to the Airline that services the area you want to go. They do not charge a booking fee. You can first check with Kayak.com then go to the airline directly and see.

Any of the mentioned above are good, just note that you wont find a flight for much cheaper than they are advertised everywhere.. and definitely never book directly from the airline, unless you're crazy, they'll charge you bigtime.

Despite all the hoopla over some of these sites, you can get cheap rates by just going straight to the airline's websites.

orbitz, cheaptickets etc (that advertise on TV) are a bunch of crap. when i shopped for the flight their prices were outrageous. i don't know about domestic flights but if you fly Europe than NOBODY can beat prices from 1800flyEurope. I saved 40% with them, i couldn't believe it. It's better to call them than search through website cause that way they can find better deals. You dial just like that :1800flyEurope
