LEGAL Immigrants & Tourists to the USA need a Visa, the Visa will show the type of Immigrant or Tourist category they are in. Not all Tourists need visitor Visas, there are certain countries all over the wold whose citizens are exempt from having to have a USA Visa for entry, one such country is the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland!
In the Old days U.K citizens did need a Visa for entry to the USA, those Visas varied from B1,B2, etc and were multiple entry indefinite or one trip Visas( I should know I still have my old passport with the USA Visas in it, issued in London ), that all changed. The USA decided to let us in without a Visa, but many countries citizens still need to have Visa. okay ? Oh and by the way, I think the "free pass" days are well and truly over!
